Our criteria for underwriting potential applicants includes a strong desire and motivation to have successful injury management programs within their respective organizations. Having these types of programs in place is a proven record in minimizing injuries, lost time for employees, and a general overall reduction in workers’ compensation premiums.
Nonprofit Insurance Trust - Workers' Compensation Pool
The NIT-Workers’ Compensation Pool is a program which generated from the formerly known, Minnesota Nonprofit Employers Workers’ Compensation Fund, starting in 1995, and developing into one of the largest self-insured workers comp programs in the country.
There are over 160 members in the WC pool, several who have benefited from the group for more than 15 years. The members of the Fund, transferred into the NIT-WC Pool and became the founding members of NIT on August 1, 2010.
